About Me
I have worked as a professional writer, writing teacher, and literary scholar for more than a decade. I earned my doctorate from the University of California, Irvine, where I specialized in American Literature and girlhood studies. I also taught writing at UC Irvine for seven years and have worked with writers of all education levels and backgrounds to help them with an editorial process that both improves the specific text and their writing skills overall.

After finishing my PhD, I moved to full-time freelance writing and editing. Since 2023, I have ghostwritten more than 20 books and have served as a developmental editor, copy editor, and proofreader on documents ranging from full novels to paragraph-length college application essays.

I am an avid reader, especially genre fiction--romance, sci fi, fantasy, and mystery are my usual favorites. My reading habit keeps me up to date on current trends in publishing. When I'm not reading or writing, you can find me watching high-drama TV, mediating my cats' sibling rivalry, or doing fiber crafts. (Or talking about books. I really love talking about books.)
